Q: Running Under Windows
I'm trying to run the game under Windows, Whats wrong?
A:

Q: The game just shows an error and quits
The game gives me some kind of error when I try to run it! How do I fix it?
A:
That is an almost impossible question, firstly DOS games will not work on all computers, for many various reasons, mainly due to the fact that many weren't designed to function with today's advanced hardware. You could try the following: - If your using Windows 9x, reboot to real mode dos and run the game from there. - If the game has a setup program, try running it without sound. Many old DOS games don't support modern sound cards. - Use a Dos Emulator, like DOSBox. - If your using Windows XP, try reading this XP Guide
Q: Scrambled Text Characters in DOS games
When running some DOS games found on DOS Game Zone does the text appear scrambled?
A:
Many video card manufactuer's chip sets, do not support the 8 x 14 (VGA) font on the BIOS. This VGA font is used on some, older DOS games, which produce garbage text charaters when used with these chips. A fix for many video cards can be found here.
Q: Runtime Error 200
The game says Runtime Error 200 and quits, why?
A:
These errors are cause by timing issues, namely the games were designed for much slower computers. More information and patches are available here.
Q: Admit Defeat!
I've tried everything and the game still won't run, what now?

Sometimes, it's just impossible to run a certain game on a particular computer. Try running the game on another computer, or just find a different game! There are over 900 to choose from!!
