WormWars 3 is a DOS based snake-type game that uses only ASCII characters for its 'graphics'. In WormWars 3 one or two players each control a worm on a playing field, navigating around obstacles while trying to collect bonuses and kill your opponent -- either by shooting him or making him crash. Sounds simple? It is. But to make things a bit more interesting, twenty different weapons and devices can be added to your worm's arsenal, such as lasers, proximity mines, autopilots, boosts and friendly buddy worms. Furthermore, you can choose between two different match types: Score Match, in which the player with the highest total score wins, or Death Match, in which the goal is to kill your opponent. You can also change most game settings, customizing the game to fit your needs. And if you should tire of the 11 default levels, just use the built-in level editor to make your own levels!
