Entering Key Words and Key Phrases

The selection of key words and phrases determines what specific items and categories will be filtered out and become unavailable on your computer. How to select these keywords and phrases will be covered in more depth in the next section. In this section we will concentrate mostly on the mechanics of entering and removing them. Note: This program comes with numerous keywords and phrases already installed. These keywords serve two purposes. Most of the keywords are to block porn sites. The rest of these keywords are for security purposes to prevent users from attempting to remove the program or bypass it. Removing some of these keywords could diminish the effectiveness of the program therefore they are not accessible.

Use your password to open your display for setup. Follow through with these steps and you will learn how to enter and remove keywords. Then we will run the program to demonstrate the effectiveness of these keywords.

• Go to the Tab labeled [ Enter Keywords].
• Use this procedure to enter the keywords mentioned in the next section: Type your keyword into the box to the right of the word [Keyword]. Press the Enter Key on your keyboard. Your keyword will display in the list directly below the entry box.
• Enter the keywords [My Computer]. Do not include the brackets. (Note: Keywords and phrases are not case sensitive. You may use either capital or small letters.)
• Press the CLOSE button. After you have done this try to open the program [My Computer]. If you have done everything correctly the page will be removed very shortly after it displays.
• Reopen the keywords section and click on the keywords you just entered to highlight them. Press the button labeled [Delete a selected keyword]. Your entry will be removed and deactivated.
• Using this procedure you may add or delete keywords as needed to make the program operate to meet your individual needs.
