How to protect Censor and Timekeeper from being removed by juvenile hackers.

Note: If you have set up for auto start then windows will not allow removal of the program because it is running. It will allow removal of some files which will not affect the operation but will make uninstalling more difficult. To prevent this from happening use one of the following methods.

There are several ways to do this depending on the degree of computer restriction you want to use. If your intent is to deny access to all programs that could damage any file of any type then follow these instructions. Use your password to open [Censor]. Enter these key phrases. [My Computer] and [Control Panel]. Do not include the brackets. Windows explorer will also need to be blocked. Unfortunately it is not possible to block this program without using a keyword that will interfere with Internet searching. Instead you will have to use very selective phrases to block Censor and TimeKeeper separately. Type the following key phrases into Censor. [exploring - Censor] and [exploring - Timekeeper]. (Notice the space between the words and the -). Using this method does not allow use of My Computer and Control Panel at all. If this is too restrictive use this alternate method.

Warning: You must be set up for auto start before using this next procedure.

This is more work but will work better against more experienced users. Use Explorer or Control Panel to locate the folders for Censor and TimeKeeper. They will be under C:\Program Files if you used the default installation. Right click on the folders and rename them. Pick a name that appears to go along with another personal program you have already blocked or plan to block. Use names that are not likely to pop up in a search. Example: QuickenLog2. After you have done this create two new folders and name them [Censor1] and [Timekeeper1]. Be sure to include the 1 on the end. Use your password to open [Censor] and add these 4 names to your blocking list. Your hacker will be drawn to the new folders. They will not display when attempts are made to open them. If a way is found around the block, the files in the folders will appear to be hidden files. This approach will also block attempts to uninstall the programs because Windows will be unable to find the uninstall file.

The last step is to add the keyword [startup] to Censors list.

How to block Downloads. Add the Key Phrase [file download].

How to block Porn. It only takes a few keywords to block the majority of these sites. To avoid fouling up my site with those words I will be putting spaces in place of some letters. You have to fill in the blanks when you enter them as keywords. F--k, c--t, pu--y, c-m, a-s, horny, and any others you want to add to the list that would not be found in the title of a legitimate web page. After you have done this try searching for porn sites. I do not include the word porn because it could be used in the title of an anti porn site. Open up any sites you can find. Most will just disappear but if they do come up take a word or phrase from their title to add to your list.

How to block Chat Rooms. Chat rooms are harder to block than porn sites. Start with the keyword [chat]. If you don't mind losing a few legitimate sites then you have probably blocked hundreds of Chat Rooms. Try disabling Censor and search on [teen chat rooms]. Make a list of key phrases to eliminate the ones you don't want accessed.
