The main reason for this section is to caution you about removing a running program. Since this program does not show in the taskbar it is easy to forget it is running. Windows will be unable to remove all of the files if you forget to shut the program off first. It will remove the program from the programs list but the program will still function and the remaining sections will be harder to find and remove.
To remove the programs do the following.
- Use your HotKey code to see if the program is running. If it is then use your password to open Setup. Select the Password Tab and locate the button labeled [Program Off]. Press the button to shut off PcGuard.
- Select [settings] from the start menu. Open [Control Panel] then [Add/Remove programs]. Follow the directions for removing a program. If you have added keywords to PcGuard you may get a message saying that it cannot remove all items. Use windows explorer to remove the PcGuard Folder and the Folder C:\Winsetx.
