Use this feature to limit the hours that a non-password holder is able to use your computer. You may set a Start time and a Stop time that meets your circumstances. If the computer is turned on during these hours it will function normally. Outside of these hours you will get a display which allows you 60 seconds to enter your password and achieve normal operation. Failure to enter the correct password will result in the computer shutting down.
Use the following procedure to set your Start and Stop times.
- Type your Password in the block provided and press Enter. This will open the screen access to the various setup functions. Note: If you have not yet registered a Password then leave the password block empty and press enter.
- Once you have the setup features accessible, go to the Time Keeper Setup Tab and press the button labeled [Press this button to Enable Settings Changes].
- Read the note printed in Red.
- Click on the Hour block above the start hour label. Enter the Start hour. For example: You want to allow access beginning at 7:30 AM. Type 7 into the hour block. Tab to the minutes block and type in 30.
- Follow the same procedure for the stop time. Be certain you use Military time or you will get unpredictable results. For example: If you want to have the computer shut down at 8:00 PM then type in 20 for the hour and 00 for the minutes.
- Press the Save the Settings button. You will receive a message telling you that your settings have been saved. Press OK to continue.
- If you want to change your settings later just use the same procedure you have just followed. Do not forget to resave your new settings.
- Press the CLOSE button at the bottom of the folder to close the window and start the program.
Note: If you want to deny access to everyone except password holders then set the times to start at 24:00 and stop at 24:01. Your computer will only be accessible from midnight to one minute after midnight unless you have the password.
If you don't need the Time Keeper feature active, go to the Additional Features page for directions on disabling it.
