CONTROLS
Total Control has a unique and easy to use
graphical interface.
The controls used in this software are:
Checkboxes
Caption
These are the main elements of all
panels.
When the mouse is moving over a checkbox, its label
changes color(from Light Yellow to Green).
Click it to change its value to checked or unchecked.
Some of them have a third value (grayed) that is used in
tristate cases. Some of them provide additional options
if you right click them. If the checkbox label's color is
Orange this indicates that the setting has been changed.

![]()
There are two kinds of buttons that this software uses.
Normal buttons and two-states buttons.
Two-states buttons, are used in groups and only one of them
can be pushed each time. They are used to select an item of a group.
![]()
These are elements that allow you to set
numerical
values. They are used when a range of values is valid.
Move the slider or type in the box to set the value.
![]()
These are elements that allow you to set
numerical values
(like sliders). They are used when only a selection of values are valid.
If you right click the Up button then the maximum value
will be set. If you right click the Down button, the
minimum value will be set. One more click will set the
value "-1" which is the 'Windows default'.
Notice, that you can not type directly values in 'Scrolls', but
you can scroll them fast if you click and hold down the button.
If changes have been made in a panel then this button
will be made visible. Total Control
prompts you
to apply changes in a panel before moving to
the next one,
to prevent confusion when the number of changes is large.
If the changes that have been applied require you to
logoff or restart the system to take effect,
this label will inform you.
In this area Total Control will provide help on the fly
for every element the cursor moves over.
