A website can only be as powerful as the clever sh*t making it all work on the back-end i.e. Server code and Databases, it has become obvious for some time now that DOS Gamer is struggling to cope with the increased load of users, games, active connections, account manangement, etc. To combat this, the WHOLE site is going to have to be re-written to work with the much faster SQL Server database system which, when complete will see a huge speed increase right accross DOS Gamer. I am already hard at work writing the new platform, which is going to mean updates are going to be scarce, for the next month. But it'll be worth the wait. :-) |
