Registry
Open the registry by running the regedit.exe program. You can find the registry settings of Quotes in 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERS/SOFTWARE/QUOTES'.

Change signature and exit Quotes

It is possible to configure Quotes to run, change the signatures and quit by setting the ' QuickRun' property in the registry to the value true.

If the property 'QuickShow' if set to true than QuickRun will not only change your signature but will also show a Quote on screen.

Choose Quotes data file
To choose multiple Quotes data files you have to reopen the data file menu yourself a couple of times. This can be done automatically by setting the value 'ShowDataFilesAgain' in the registry to true.

Random versus sequential
By default Quotes searches a Quote in the selected Quotes datafile randomly. Quotes can also search statically and sequentially. The registry property 'Order' can contain the values 'Random', 'Sequential' and 'Static'. When you choose Sequential or Static the registry property 'Position' keeps track of the position in the active Quote file that contains the active Quote, where in the sequential scenario this property is automatically raised on every change.
