I have just added now 6 great new games, which sends the total game count of DOS Gamer teetering over the 500 mark. I started off with a bit of a theme by adding Simpsons Tetris, Simpsons Tetris II and The Simpsons Bart vs the Space Mutants. Then the old classic starring Lara Croft Tomb Raider(demo), a Russian card game called Durak and last but by no means least Airball.
Well, another day, another seven games. Today's selection of newbies are Test Drive III & Skyroads Xmas Two brilliant racing games. Raptor: Call of the Shadows,
Quite a mixed bag today, Just added a game called Adventure, an RPG Ancient Domains Of Mystery (ADOM), a cool shoot 'em up Ack Ack. 4x4 Off Road Racing (Self explanatory), a cool shoot 'em up game AAARGH!, followed by the classic beat 'em up Street Fighter and last but not least, the cute platformer Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure. Thats all folks.
Yesterday was a bit of a maintenance day, I added another download mirror, which should free up some bandwidth from the server. I fixed the download links for Batman The Movie and Blort. I'm adding a walkthrough section, if anybody has the skill to complete some games on DOS Gamer, and the creative flair to write a walkthrough guide, please email me. Also I will add as many game 'manuals' or readme files that I can find. A section in the pipeline is game music. (Literally sountracks ripped from DOS Games.) I also fixed the comment boards for each game, user names weren't being shown for the poster. XP SP 2 Users, who are having problems downloading can read this guide.
I've just added a nice mix of classic titles Risky Woods, Warcraft, Desert Storm Command and Rise of the Triad. This takes the total game count to 481.
Some slick new changes added over the weekend. Firstly the game review pages have had a little facelift, as has the download pages. Each category view, now shows 15 games at a time, with screenshots. Also I added an excellent game Quest for Al-Qa'eda - The Hunt for Bin Laden which is freeware. Made a few minor tweaks (again) to the login system, (one day it may be perfect). I'm going to add a new section in the very near future....Game music, you will be able to download just the music, ripped from the games on DOS Gamer. Also the Emulation section is finally online. What a productive weekend.
This morning resulted in quite a number of users having there IP Addresses/Accounts BANNED, for spamming the message board with useless marketing dross (SPAM). DOS Gamer has a zero tolerance for spam, for this reason Guest posting has now been disabled for all forums/comment systems. It's a shame that if something is abused it is removed.
